Solar PV and battery storage installation designed to reduce grid use, improve self-consumption and give the customer greater control over their energy usage.
EV Charger project
This 7kW EV charger installation was more challenging than average. The customer’s existing fuseboard was located centrally within the house, while the charger was required at the rear of a new-build property within a development where neighbouring homes share external walkways and parking areas.
To avoid disturbing the finished property, EV Ultra cable was routed from the main supply externally. A new IP-rated consumer unit was installed discreetly within the customer’s private garden, incorporating surge protection and a 40A double-pole bidirectional RCBO. The Fast Amps Alpha 7 charger was then installed, tested and commissioned in accordance with the relevant requirements.
The customer initially thought the installation route might make an EV charger impractical. By carefully planning the cable route and positioning of the equipment, the installation was completed with virtually no visible disruption and everything was left clean and tidy.
For this installation we used the FastAmps Alpha7, a locally produced 7kW EV charger from Shrewsbury-based FastAmps. Designed and assembled in the UK, the Alpha7 provides a reliable and affordable home charging solution with a focus on quality, simplicity and ease of use.
consumer unit replacements
Older fuseboards may no longer provide the level of protection expected in modern electrical installations. We specialise in upgrading existing consumer units with modern RCBO protection, surge protection and improved fault protection, helping bring your electrical system up to current standards.
Whether you are renovating, adding new circuits, installing EV charging or simply want peace of mind from an ageing installation, we can assess your existing system and recommend the most appropriate upgrade.
solar and renewables
From solar PV and battery storage to the electrical requirements of air source heat pumps, we provide complete renewable energy wiring and installation solutions. Every system is carefully planned, installed and tested to deliver safe, reliable performance while helping customers make better use of the energy they generate.
